Fall Meeting – November 5th
You’re invited to the fourth quarterly TSITE Meeting for 2015 to be held jointly with the Tennessee Chapter of the American Public Works Association (TCAPWA) conference at the Chattanooga Convention Center in Chattanooga! There will be informative Technical Sessions, a Business Meeting, and lunch will be provided. Also, TSITE members are invited to participate in many other events offered by the TCAPWA as part of their conference. The cost of the meeting for TSITE members will be $60. Non-TSITE members are asked to register through the TCAPWA website.

Stephen Edwards hurt in a bicycle accident

I wanted to make all of you aware that one of our West TN members, Stephen Edwards, has been seriously hurt as a result of a bicycle crash. Summer Meeting – July 29th to July 31st
You’re invited to the 2015 TSITE Summer Meeting to be held at the Park Vista Hotel (705 Cherokee Orchard Road – Gatlinburg, TN 37738) from Wednesday, July 29th to Friday, July 31st.
There will be many highlights including a sponsored Social Event on Wednesday night, the annual Awards Banquet and Scholarship Auction on Thursday night and of course several informative Technical Sessions along with the Business Meeting where the 2016 Officer Election results will be announced (more details on voting still to come). We encourage you to bring your family along and have allowed some time in our agenda for the ability to spend some quality time with them in this beautiful setting.
Member Registration for this 3-day event is $120 and pre-registration will close on Wednesday, July 22nd. Pre-payment is not required to allow for additional flexibility, however online registration ends on July 22nd and it will increase to $150 for late/walk-up registration – so please be sure to register early! Additional guest tickets will be available for purchase for all meals. Everyone is invited to attend the Wednesday Night Social Event at no extra charge made possible by several great sponsors! Just let us know how many guests you are bringing to this event.

Finally, please be prepared to participate in our annual Scholarship Auction, the proceeds from which provide scholarships for our student members. We encourage you to both bring items for the auction, as well as of course participate in buying items.
The conference will be held at the Park Vista Hotel (705 Cherokee Orchard Road – Gatlinburg, TN 37738). There are a limited number of rooms available for the nights of Wednesday (7/29) and Thursday (7/30) at a special rate of $83 + tax. There are also a small number of rooms available for additional nights before and after the meeting if you would like to extend your stay in the mountains at this great rate.

For Online Hotel Reservations:
1. Go the the Park Vista website here.
2. From the home page (middle of page), find the “Make a Reservation” field. Choose your arrival and departure dates, number of rooms, and click “Check Rates.”
3. Adjust the number of rooms, adults and children for the booking.
4. Under the “Special Accounts & Rates” header on the right-hand side of the page, enter the booking code “ITE” in the “Group Code” field and click “Continue.”
5. The group rates will be displayed along with the available room types. Proceed with reservations as prompted.
Guests can also call 1-800-421-7275 at anytime to make reservations using the same group code and rates. Additionally, The Park Vista offers one and two-bedroom king and family suites that can be reserved at a group rate of $183/night. Reservations for the suites, based upon availability, can be made by calling the number above.
