2016 Traffic Bowl Winners
Congratulations to the University of Tennessee for winning this year’s traffic bowl at the winter meeting in Nashville. It was a great competition with five schools represented: the University of Tennessee, Vanderbilt University, Tennessee Tech, Tennessee State University and the University of Memphis. UT Knoxville will represent TSITE at the Southern District (SDITE) 2016 Annual Meeting on April 10-13, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Winter Meeting Parking Info
We are expecting over 100 attendees at the TSITE Winter Meeting. Because of this, parking will be limited. We have the following recommendations:
- For those attending from out-of-town, Carpool. TSITE is about fellowship and networking. What better way to get to know your neighbors than a “Road-Trip!”
- For those in the Nashville-Metro Area – Consider Transit One of our speakers is from MTA and if would send a tremendous message to them knowing 50% of the attendees used that service on Thursday.
- It has been pointed out that some could bike. We won’t mention any names, but some in the 17th Ave area of Nashville might consider biking to the event.
The University Club has about 50 free spaces and will be “first come, first serve” available for our members. There are parking meters all along 24th Ave. to the south of the club where members could feed a meter.
There are two parking garages within walking distance. The closest is the Highland St. Garage at Highland and 25th Ave. where the first floor has about 35-40 paid spaces that you can park in…pay…get your ticket from the machine…and place on your dash. The other garage is the 25th Ave. Garage just north of Memorial Gym on 25th Ave. S. They are pay lots and daily prices will apply. There will NOT be parking validation by TSITE. Expect prices between $10 and $15 for the day.
